Sea Life and Art in one

The Sitka Seafood Festival routinely hosts community gatherings entitled "Paint and Sips" (or Paint and Snacks, shown to the left). These events feature guided art and dining at one of many cozy Sitka locations. Throughout the summer Seafood Festival season, we have hosted four painting events at locations such as The Beak, Mean Queen, and The Island Institute, with more to come in September. In addition to providing Sitkans with a dosage of fun and relaxation, the Paint and Sip series is meant to be an educational experience that serves all ages. The Sitka Seafood Festival has succeeded in infusing painting time with informational tidbits regarding the missions of partner organizations ALFA and ASFT, with glowingly positive feedback from all our participants. For more information and ticketing, contact sitkaseafoodfestival@gmail.com. Future events are sure to include short film screenings and informational talks.
